Mobile Biochar

Boy, wouldn't I like to have one of these around here... It would be worth its weight in gold. Imagine the improvement in re-purposing overgrown farmland. At a ton an hour, and burning pretty much any bio-mass that you can come up with, this could produce a serious amount of fuel and soil additives wherever it was hauled.

Our Garden

So...

 

Decided to do some yard gardening with the kids again, this year. We live on top of the Knox Fault in the very edge of Knox County, which means that the property we rent is essentially a series of sink holes with rock ridges in between. The yard has been smoothed out of a beautiful karst cedar forest, but again, it consists of a series of ridges with rock just coming through and grassy lawn around them.
