Cob Construction Workparty at Parkridge Community Garden

We will be taking another step toward finishing the Parkridge Community Garden cob wall - by adding the earthen plaster layer (and possibly the roof).Once again, bring shoes that can get muddy, and a water bottle. Mushrooms at The birdhouse

we will plug logs, build a mushroom bed and also start a mushroom, tomato straw bale. please rsvp by april 4so i can make sure i have enough supplies. the cost is to cover my cost so donations are welcomemany people have commented. you don't have to bring anything. if anyone has freshly cut oak logs about 4 to 8 inches in diameter feel free to bring them. i'm planning on everybody leaving with a log. the straw bale & bed will be for demonstration.The cost is what ever you can afford. i'll…See More

am into gardening, been to a cob workshop. in the process of putting up a yurt. yurts are awesome. round spaces make better space.
What neighborhood do you live in?
BFE dandridge/chestnut hill
What skills or experiences do you have that can be shared?
been to a cob workshop. biodynamic agriculture. beekeeping. goats. off-grid living.
About me:
truly believe we all need to become more self sufficient. build our own homes, grow our own food, learn about herbs.

Its great that there is a cobber in Newport! I've never gotten to take a course, but have read Ianto Evans' book on cob.
Did you take your course in Tennessee or North Carolina, or elsewhere?
