Why are you interested in joining the guild? (If you are outside the Knoxville region, why are you interested in joing the guild?)
Need information, plants swap, seed swap, organic food, permaculture design help, local wild fruit sources, ......., community!! I buy at three rivers and downtown. Old organic gardener and Peter bain fan. I've recently gotten a Droid phone and now am actively online and ready to go. Looking for super simple, simple life, but plan to use web and anything else modern to try to help us survive to coming human and earthwide struggle. I'm afraid it's going to get pretty rough. See ya soon I hope.
What neighborhood do you live in?
ridgedale in knoxville
What skills or experiences do you have that can be shared?
Organic gardener, economics degree (resources interest me), political activism, old transcendental meditator (and Sidha), ferocious lover of this creation.
About me:
Too much to tell, not much all that important. Maybe if we get together it'll all leak out. Oh, single, renovating homeowner, parent of one offspring, who lives in Oakland CA; still working at least halftime in hazardous material removal. Oh, it just on and on. Seventy long years of trying to decide if I really want to or can become a real human being.
Sorry for the delayed response! This was buried in my email inbox...
We have a full staff of students at the UT organic research farm, so we are good on labor, but thanks for your interest in volunteering!I know Beardsley farm could always use volunteers.
If you ever want to come to a workshop, or visit the farm, or come to the student-run farmers market on campus, here is our website: http://organics.tennessee.edu/
