Chad Hellwinckel said… You may also want to look at the two strawbale houses an "Narrow Ridge" (in Grainger County)...its an education center. I know they've had mold problems at one of them, so it'd be good to avoid whatever they did to cause that...I believe they used 'stucco' on the outside instead of a more 'breathable' layer (like lime plaster? or earthen plaster?).

Chad Hellwinckel said… Nice photos of the cob structures at The Farm. I still haven't made it there yet. Did seeing cob in Tennessee motivate you further, or throw 'caution' your way?
