The United Way has approached Slow Food Knoxville to help build a school garden at the Children's Center of Knoxville. We'll be building several raised beds for the school of 150 youngsters, which is funded in part by the United Way, for them to learn from. They're growing some vegetables in pots right now, but they want a real space. We'll be there from noon until we're done. Please bring any gardening tools you can spare for the day.
