Building Permanent Culture in Knoxville

So two of us have completed the process my family and the Townsend family.

We had the final building inspection on Tues and took the "tag" to Animal Control and we are now legal hen owners in the city of Knoxville!

We brought home 3 Dominique chicks from Nantahala Farm today.

Here is Warren with the baby girls.

Thanks to everyone for making this possible and special thanks to Chad.

Did you build your own coop from a kit, have some one else build it or buy it pre-made?

Thanks,

Sonja

Great! Thanks for sharing your experience with the process. Especially the 'hoops' you listing in the comments here.

Natalie Townsend also has a great explanatory blog!

That's great Stephen!  Thanks for keeping us updated and letting folks know what the process is like!  Thanks for all your help, too.  Many folks over the course of that year and a half showed their many strengths in many different areas.  Everyone, down to the last anonymous letter writer, played a very key role in making this happen for Knoxville!  YAY!!!

It was a kit that we assembled. Its a great hen house. The girls love it.
