Permaculture is a comprehensive system for living sustainably on the earth. By understanding the interconnectedness of all things and by modeling patterns of nature we can design systems that allow us to live on the earth without jeopardizing future generations to be able to do the same. We design systems that collect and generate surplus from the natural flux of energies that flow through the landscape: sun, water, wind, minerals, biological life, information, etc. Join us for this introductory workshop and gain the big picture of what permaculture is all about, plus leave with specific strategies you can begin to implement immediately.
The event will take place at the May 10th 'Science Cafe', 5:30pm at Ijams Nature Center in South Knoxville.
Refreshments provided by Three Rivers Market. Please contact Shelia at 577-4717 ext. 10 to register for this FREE program.
